Portland Treatment is a Maine DHHS-licensed outpatient substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment provider located at 6 Digital Drive in Biddeford, Maine. We directly provide partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment, outpatient services, sober living, and support MAT continuation in our program.
We coordinate referrals for medical detoxification and residential treatment. Those referred services are not provided as onsite residential or inpatient treatment unless otherwise explicitly stated.

What to expect when you reach out
- How quickly will someone get back to me?
- Our admissions line is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you call 855-449-7674, you'll speak with a real person, not a voicemail system. If you fill out the callback form, our team typically reaches out within an hour during business hours and the same day after hours.
- Is the call or message confidential?
- Yes. Every conversation with Portland Treatment is completely confidential. We do not share your information without your permission, and we follow all HIPAA and state privacy regulations for substance use treatment.
- What information should I have ready when I call?
- You don't need anything formal to start. It helps to know your insurance carrier and member ID if you'd like a free benefits check, but we can also walk you through that together. We'll ask about what you're struggling with, what you've already tried, and what kind of support you're looking for.
- Can you verify my insurance during the call?
- Yes. We can run a free, no-obligation benefits check while we're talking. We are in-network with most major plans, including Anthem, UMR, Aetna, Harvard Pilgrim, Martin's Point, and MaineCare. Cigna is our only out-of-network plan, and it often still provides partial reimbursement.
- Do I need a referral to start treatment?
- No referral is required for our outpatient programs. You can call us directly. We'll schedule a clinical assessment, review your history and goals, and recommend the right level of care, whether that's PHP, IOP, OP, or a coordinated referral for detox or residential treatment.
